Artist Marinda Combrinck

Born in Johannesburg, 1972 Marinda matriculated at the Pretoria Pro Arte School of Art after which she studied Fine Art at the Pretoria Technicon under lecturers: Diane Victor, Carl Jeppe & Kevin Roberts.

After studying, the (PRB) Pre-Raphaelite Gallery in Pretoria was opened where she started honing her own unique style as a fine artist. Commissions for both original & commercial paintings for private clients, local and abroad followed and created a great variety in painting styles and content.

From 2004 Marinda worked from her Studio & Gallery in the Little Karoo town of Calitzdorp and continued series like: 'Glamour Girls,' 'Klein Karoo Protraits', 'Karoo Remains' and 'Natural Selection' based on Roadkill, was born here and are currently exhibited at selected Galleries, Grand Provence Gallery, Franschhoek, Knysna Fine Arts in collaboration with Everard Read Johannesburg, Prins Albert Gallery, Cape Palette Gallery, George, Trent Gallery, Pretoria.

In November 2020 Marinda and her partner moved house and studio to beautiful Sruisbaai where she continues to explore, create and manifest fineart from her personal experiences.

2018 Marinda completed an Advanced Drawing Course with renowned artist Diane Victor at Muratie Wine Estate, Mok Gallery, Stellenbosch,

In 2016 Marinda won the 'Art on Track' Competition with her painting:'The Viewer' A Portrait of her Daughter, Liza Miro Combrinck.

In 2015 Marinda was chosen as a Top 40 Sanlam Portrait finalists for her painting: 'Anna Maria Elizabeth Calitz', a local lady from Calitzdorp.

The Natural Selection: 'Draaijakkals' Exhibition-2014, in collaboration with the EWT (Endangered Wildlife Trust) formed part of roadkill data collection project in South Africa.
